The U.S. Military not existing anymore would = peace on Earth. So what's the problem then?

Considering that Americans think they are defending the Country, perhaps the American Population being gone as well, would = peace on Earth. 

Long ago, back when Americans actually followed the direction of the so called founding documents, the borders of the US were the line in which the Military was supposed to protect, and could not go beyond that. Now the borders of the US is the entire Earth, since there are 800+ Military bases world wide. 

Yeah, if the American Population was gone, Peace would reign.
